ERAU/FAA NEXTGEN CENTER

As a joint project between FAA, Volusia County and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, the NEXTGEN testing facility represents a wide-ranging transformation of the entire National Airspace System (NAS) of U.S., to meet the future demands of air travel and to avoid gridlock. It moves away from legacy ground based technologies to new and more dynamic satellite-based technology. The owner needed to transform DAB International Airport's existing arrivals and departures assembly space into Class A secured office and academic space.
