ORMOND BEACH YMCA POOL RENOVATION

This project included the renovation of the existing pool deck, along with an expansion of the pool from 369,000 gallons of water with eight 25-yard short course lands and eight 50-meter long course lanes, to 416,002 gallons of water with twenty-two, 25-yard short lanes and ten 50-meter long course lanes. This was the first renovation the pool received since the Ormond YMCA opened its doors in 1989. In addition, a new steel entry canopy was conceived to create a more secure and weather resistant control area that allowed for increased membership opportunities and community engagement. The west and northwest facades were also refurbished in anticipation of the phase two portion of the project, which included the renovation and addition to the main building.
