EPSTEIN FAMILY VETERANS CENTER

The Epstein Family Veterans Center is a 1,200 SF building that was sited next to the original Center. With the addition of this second building, the Veterans at CSUSM gained additional office and meeting space to assist the growing veteran student body. The project doubled the size of the existing deck to enable to Veteran community to host larger events on campus. It also has the distinction of being the zero-energy building for the campus. In addition, it was also awarded the prestigious Judges’ Choice Award, awarded to the single highest scoring project from all categories, as well as three Awards of Distinction at the Modular Building Institute’s 37th annual convention in 2020. This project was designed by Mr. Gilchrist while serving as the Campus Architect for the university.
